You can take an easy walk along the ocean promenade to the old laid-back town, with its fishermen harbour, to the long black sand beach where the striking statues depicting the ancient aboriginal chiefs of the tribal people stand as silent watchmen along the plaza, with its iconic church: an ancient pilgrimage site for all the Canarian faithful people, devoted to the Virgin Mary.
Here you may choose among safe and calm natural pools, carved by natural forces in the volcanic basaltic rock, or invigorating wave-swept beaches facing the deep blue ocean.
