We are so lucky to have everyone checking on us and caring so much about us since Hurricane Helen’s aftermath and we can’t thank you enough!
We are okay and so so so blessed - MountainTop Escape is still standing and faired really well!! No damage, only trees down around the property and the road leading up to the house. As of today, our road and driveway are cleared and in good condition. We have power, water, cellular and internet. We are thrilled! The rest of Asheville, two weeks later, continues to come back online from this tragic storm. Restaurants and some attractions are reopening. All gas stations and grocery stores are open and taking cards again. Everyone and every community are pitching in - food, water, supplies, power line workers, first responders, FEMA, military, and volunteers have come from as far way as California and Canada.
Please know that the folks who live in these stunningly beautiful southern Appalachian mountains and valleys are resilient and determined. There is a remarkable sense of RENEWAL all around this region, and that RENEWAL is what powers our team at MountainTop Escape as we clear trees, clean and prepare our magical mountaintop haven for YOU. For twelve (12) glorious years we have served our guests and survived a lengthy COVID shutdown. This storm only renews our resolve to continue the MountainTop Escape legacy.

MountainTop Escape can sleep 22 guests total with a maximum of 16 adults. Our incredible 7- acre, 5,500 square foot secluded end-of-the-road mountaintop luxury estate --'MountainTop Escape' -- has 360 degrees long range panoramic mountain views.

Surrounding the hot tub, our chef's garden delights the senses with the aromatic scents of sage, thyme, rosemary, heather, various mints, and lavender—perfect for enhancing your culinary creations in our newly equipped kitchen.

Adjacent to the Kitchen, it's ideal for casual get-togethers or relaxing movie nights. The Kitchen boasts a large inviting island, beverage cooler, and bar area for mixing your favorite cocktails.
For larger gatherings or recreational activities, the Lower Level features a versatile Living Room complete with a leather semi-circle sofa, media center, ping pong table, and a variety of board games and children's books, offering entertainment for all ages. Hungry? Our full Kitchenette is equipped for snacking and preparing light meals, ensuring that refreshments are always within reach. Additionally, the Queen Size Sleeper Sofa and Single pull-out provide extra sleeping arrangements if needed.
