All amenities are private including pool, veranda w/covered daybed, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom/living area. This villa has lush garden areas, and beautiful jungle views right off the spacious veranda, including a comfy covered daybed for lounging, dining, or workspace area. All of the luxurious furnishings and artistic decorations were custom made for the indoor and outdoor spaces. Light blocking curtains for those who wish to sleep late or during the daylight hours.
We are at the end of a short narrow road (Best for small/medium cars - 50% paved - 50% gravel), and just a short walk to Jl. Andong where you can find food, drinks, coffee, and a huge variety of shops for handicrafts, furniture, decorations, and more. Just a 5 min ride by car or scooter to Central Ubud with hundreds of restaurants and stores.
One of our staff will arrange to welcome you at our reception area to complete registration, answer any questions, make arrangements for transportation, etc provide the electronic key card, and show you to your villa. Our staff is available during your stay in person or by Text Message/Email to answer questions and provide support and recommendations for restaurants, sight-seeing, etc. Let us know in advance if you need transport form the airport.
Our villas are perched on the edge of a creek gorge with lush jungle views. We are at the end of a short village road, off of one of the main roads leading to Central Ubud, and share similar views, general location and atmosphere with our neighbor The Purist, a Five Star Resort, but at a much more affordable rate. The Viceroy, Rated #1 resort in the world in 2018 by Conde Nast Traveler is 5 minutes away for truly world class dining. Just a short walk to Jl. Andong where you can find food, drinks, coffee, and a huge variety of shops for handicrafts, furniture, decorations, and more. Just a 5 min ride by car or scooter to Central Ubud with hundreds of restaurants and stores.
We are 5 minutes from Central Ubud by scooter or auto (need a rental?) or we can arrange for a driver.
We are proud of the love and effort we have put into creating a stunning villa, and hope you will treat our villa well and with respect. Please be aware that we are part of the banjar (local village) so we have to respect their customs and cultures. There are a few days that our staff are not available due to local custom (kind of like Christmas). In this circumstance we will do whatever we can to provide alternatives and will try and give you as much notice as possible.
You will have access to the entire Villa and everything within the front gate. Our housekeeper will be available to you for a few hours 6 days a week (Monday - Saturday) and she is able to take your clothes to a local laundry (one large bag costs around $5 - 7) if required.
Jungle Wildlife
There are not so many mosquitoes at the villa, but the moisture that keeps Bali so green also allows for them. Like anywhere in Bali, at dusk and dawn, you just need to make sure the mosquito nets are down so there’s 100% no mosquitoes when you sleep.
During the day we rarely get mosquitoes, however at night they come from about 5:30 – 7pm. During this time, we usually close up all the doors and put the fans on.
There are occasionally geckos and lizards around the villa. Bali is tropical and has reptiles, so they are very common here. They are completely harmless and a normal part of life in Bali. (a gecko in your house is considered good luck)
We in Bali only kill animals that are harming people or that are putting people in a great risk. This rental property is billed as a jungle house. We take pride to keep our guests happy but don’t want to go against our culture to kill a little lizard that is not harming anyone.
If potential guests have a fear or lizards and other reptiles it would be wise to not book with us and find a rental on the top floor of a hotel in the city.
We provide:
Electric anti mosquito plugs in each bedroom, electric mosquito traps near the Daybeds, anti-mosquito lotions, and anti-mosquito spray for your use while you stay in the villa, and our staff can do a cleaning if wildlife becomes a problem for your convenience.
