Luxury Farm Stay | Casa en Winters

We are a beautiful 80 acre wedding venue with several courtyards, gardens, and wildlife to explore. A perfect place for you to plan a friendly getaway, girls trip and family to relax and unplug.
We are located in the country outside of Davis County and a 15 minute drive from Downtown Winters where you can venture to for a nice dinner or wine tasting experience.
The space:
Our home offers a spacious, peaceful yard that you have full access too. The house is truly unique in its design and amenities. A fully renovated 1900’s farmhouse. Guests make themselves at home in the giant gourmet chefs kitchen with every kitchen tool you can think of. It’s wonderful to cook family meals or hire a professional chef to come make your dinner. There is a quaint dining area in the kitchen, a full dining room and a giant front porch with comfy chairs, a ceiling fan for an outdoor dining experience, complete with misters -- a wonderful place to enjoy your meals during the warmer months.
We have a television in the main family room, but wifi here is spotty. This beautiful property is designed for you to reconnect with your friends and family, catch up and step away from the 24hr news cycle. Because we are in the county, it’s hard to get a reliable connection as there is no infrastructure to support it, so a work from (vacation) home may not be realistic. Your privacy is of the utmost importance and will always be respected. Due to the live animals and landscaping and vegetable garden, you may see employees of the farm walking about, taking care of the property. Also be aware, the owner stays in the cottage on the back of the property during some days of the week so he can attend to business and work in the area. Should you need anything, he is there to help.
There are 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms
Bedroom 1 - Located on the ground floor, King size bed with an ADA compliant, recently remodeled bathroom.
Bedroom 2 - Located on the second floor, King sized bed, private bathroom and large closet
Bedroom 3 - Located on the second floor, Queen size bed
Bedroom 4 - Located on the second floor, King size bed
About the property and some rules:
Pets are not generally allowed, with the exception of service and emotional support animals, with the owner's prior approval. They’re subject to a $300 fee per animal, for 3 nights. After 3 nights, $40 per animal per night will be added. Dogs are not permitted on furniture, including couches and beds and should be crated during times when owners are not in the home.
*There are rattlesnakes in this area so please exercise extreme caution with animals outside. Do not let them wander unattended at any time. Dogs have been bitten on the property before.
We love children and are happy to host families, but the home and property is not entirely child friendly. Stairs are steep and made of hardwood, the pond has no rails to prevent someone from entering the water, and snakes pose a threat to unattended minors.
There is a pond on the property that can be used for fishing for catch and release only. Swimming is not allowed.
*Fish were re-homed while the pond was drained to perform maintenance, so we are currently fish free.
There is a fire-pit available for use, but we ask that you are aware of the severe drought in the area and use caution if you choose to use it. Wildfires are frequent in the area. Please, keep a hose near you, ready to use in case of an emergency. *Firewood not provided by the owner.
We have very friendly goats on the east side of the property and they would love to meet you. We encourage guests to feed them your fruit and veggies but avoid giving them any meat products and oils.
No smoking of any kind is allowed in the house at any time, or on the property.
On days we are not hosting vacation guests, we are hosting weddings and events through our business, Field and Pond.
Occupancy is limited to 10 people. If more guests than that are found to be residing in the house there will be a charge of $100 per extra guest. Due to permit restrictions, VRBO guests will not be permitted to host parties. If a guest is found to be having a party without prior arrangement, they will be immediately asked to leave and forfeit a refund. Both of the above rules will be strictly enforced.
If you are interested in hosting a wedding or event, we are more than happy to help arrange. We have an event planner and a package that includes nearly everything you’ll need for your special day.
* Chef experiences can be arranged with ample time before your stay. Please message the host if you’re interested, the further out the better. Minimum of 4-8 weeks in advance of your stay.
**We can arrange vineyard trips, massages at the home and yoga for your morning exercise. Please message the host if you’re interested, the further out the better. Minimum of 8 weeks in advance of your stay.
***Because you are in the country and staying in a unique old house you may see an occasional insect or even a mouse although we make every effort to deter them from the premises. The house is sprayed for insects once a month and mouse traps are occasionally set in out of the way areas of the house during the winter months. Doors should remain closed to prevent critters from entering.
