Conveniently located on Sydney's north west doorstep in the "lowlands" region of the upper Hawkesbury Valley - a little pocket of paradise only 4 minutes drive from Windsor and just over a 1 hour drive from the Sydney city centre.
SURROUNDING AREA:
The surrounding area is a flat rural picturesque patchwork of citrus orchards, small agricultural farms, turf farms, equestrian stud farms and polo fields. It's also only 4 minutes drive from the town centre of Windsor which has every amenity you need.

ENTERTAINING:

Cornwallis House was designed with entertaining in mind. There are two levels of outdoor space, upstairs and downstairs, with multiple outdoor settings and places to relax and dine outdoors. It's perfect either for small groups who like to stay in and cook for themselves, spending quality time together relaxing with a few drinks over long lazy meals , or for a larger event such as a wedding which can be held in the downstairs function room or in a marquee on the lawn.
We allow guests to invite extra family or friends to visit during their stay, however there are limits and venue hire fees may apply, depending on the numbers and your requirements. Please ask us about this when you enquire, and remember that honesty is the best policy.
HAPPY KIDS, HAPPY PARENTS, HAPPY HOLIDAY.....
For the little ones we have a small cubby house, scooters, acres of grounds and lawn for outdoor games and an orchard full of orange trees to pick fruit from (in season).
In summer we have an inflatable water slide for the toddlers and two "slip n slides". We also have loads of childrens DVDs and board games and toys for babies and younger children. There's also plenty for teenagers and older children to do in the area. Ask us and we can give you a list of activities in the nearby area for older children.

SOMETHING EXTRA:
Our proximity to the city means it is easily accessible for weekend stays. You can be at Cornwallis in a ONE HOUR DRIVE from just about anywhere in Sydney.
RECOVERY FROM COVID SPECIAL OFFER:
Stretch your weekend break further in the Hawkesbury either by staying until late on your last night (Sunday), OR, better still, have a bonus extra night and check out the Monday morning, at no extra cost. i.e. Stay for 3 nights/ Pay 2 nights).
Note: This is not valid on public holiday long weekends, between mid December to Mid January, and is not valid for midweek stays.
WEDDINGS:

We're well set up for outdoor country garden weddings. Our normal maximum is 180 guests but it can on occasion be stretched to more than this, on application, also depending on Covid-19 rules and regulations at the time.
You can use our large downstairs function room which seats up to 80 for a sit down meal or 120 for a stand up cocktail style event.
Alternatively you can hire a marquee to set up on the lawns. Venue fees apply according to the number of guests you will have.
WEDDING PACKAGE: We have a Wedding Package which includes venue hire for the wedding together with furniture and equipment and loads of extras. It's sold separately to the accommodation. Please ASK US to send you more information.
SUPPLIERS: You are able to use your own suppliers, or, we can recommend some local suppliers for you to contact who have all done successful weddings at Cornwallis House over the past couple of years.
VIEWINGS: You're welcome to view the property before making a booking. All you need to do is contact us to make an appointments.
NOISE CURFEW: We are flexible with the start time for events on the property, however we have a strict noise curfew of 10:30 p.m. when all loud music and loud party noise must stop.

PLEASE NOTE: -
- Cornwallis House has a NO SMOKING policy (inside the house)..
- Due to the lack of fencing the property is not suitable for pets.
- We don't accept bookings for pre-wedding "bucks" weekends or "boys weekends".
- There is river access for watercraft that can be carried (such as canoes, kayaks and dinghys), however due to the steep site it can't be used as a boat ramp for cars with boat trailers. .
