This small, separate holiday home for up to 3 people is located in a side street just a few steps away from a beautiful swimming area on Penzliner Stadtsee lake, in a direct town location. Shops and snack bars, a regional ice cream parlour and the imposing castle complex are all within walking distance. The four-gate city of Neubrandenburg is only about 15 minutes away by car, and there is also a lovely cycle path leading from Penzlin.
The approx. 70 sqm, centrally heated, non-smoking house from the 1920s (please NOTE: low ceiling height of approx. 2.10 m!) was extensively renovated in 2023 and extends over two floors. On the lower floor there is a large living room (sofa bed - extra bed for one person, flat screen TV, dining table, wood-burning stove) with an open kitchen area (electric cooker with oven, fridge with freezer, coffee machine, toaster, kettle) and a hallway (access to the terrace). The bedroom (double bed, flat-screen TV, children's travel bed) and the bathroom (bath, WC, hairdryer) are located on the upper floor (accessible via a room-saving staircase!) Furthermore, there is a cosy furnished inner courtyard (terrace) with barbecue and sun loungers, another seating area in front of the house, a lockable storage room for bicycles and other accessories, two rental bicycles (1 x ladies, 1 x men), free W-LAN and firewood are available for a fee (10 EUR/day). Two stand-up paddles, a kayak and a canoe (incl. 3 life jackets) can be used for a fee (10 EUR/day). A public, free car park is located approx. 50 m away, for loading and unloading you can stop in front of the house for a short time. (One-way street!).
The total price includes final cleaning, water and energy consumption as well as bed linen and towels. To be paid on site: Bicycles (if desired) 10 EUR/day, (by arrangement) fee for water sports equipment flat rate 10 EUR/day. Pets are not allowed in this holiday property.
The small town of Penzlin, a typical Mecklenburg farming town, is located in the Mecklenburg Lake District, only about 15 minutes by car from the four-gate city of Neubrandenburg. Penzlin's most famous landmark and biggest attraction is the medieval castle complex. In addition to a museum on the subject of torture and the persecution of witches, it also includes a herb garden, a black kitchen where children's cookery courses are offered and a witches' playground for the little ones. The castle also hosts many medieval events that are known far beyond the town's borders. Other sights in Penzlin include the Slavic castle ramparts and St Mary's Church. Penzlin's town lake is a magnet for anglers and water sports enthusiasts. In addition to unspoilt beaches, there is also a developed bathing area with a sports and play area. The town has snack bars, a café with regional ice cream specialities and several supermarkets. The four-gate town of Neubrandenburg offers many cultural facilities and events in addition to numerous other shopping facilities, various restaurants, cafés and pubs. Particular attractions here include St Mary's Church with its new organ - home to the Neubrandenburg Philharmonic Orchestra - which is famous beyond the borders of Mecklenburg as a concert church, the theatre and the Neubrandenburg art collection. Tourist highlights include the historic town wall with its four medieval gates and Lake Tollensesee, which borders directly on the town and offers several bathing opportunities, boat hire and passenger boat trips.
