The Space:
The approach to The Witta Chapel is a journey in itself. A gracefully designed circular driveway, lined with towering, majestic maple trees, offers an awe-inspiring welcome to the property. The sight of a charming white picket fence adds to the allure of this grand entrance. A picturesque timber arbour marks the beginning of your exclusive retreat, which is nestled on just over an acre of meticulously landscaped land.

As you step through the threshold, the interiors of this remarkable estate reveal a captivating world of timeless elegance. The Witta Chapel features three bedrooms and two bathrooms, ensuring ample space for a group or family. The loft master bedroom, with its king-size bed draped in luxurious linens, is a haven of comfort and relaxation.
The master ensuite, with its clawfoot bath, offers a luxurious retreat where you can soak your cares away. A separate children's/family/TV room leads to two additional loft bedrooms on the other side of the home, with their exposed beams and stained glass windows, add a touch of nostalgia and charm.

History of the property:
The original chapel building was built in 1995 by the owner of Middleton House (the guest house across the road) with intention of hosting small wedding ceremonies. You will notice that the original vestibule is still in place even though the doorway was built in to enclose what is now the living room. Subsequent owners took the original chapel and completed the transformation into what is now the main house on the property (The Chapel). Along the way a purpose built horse stable was added and the property was used to agist several racehorses until late 2021.

The current owners of the property purchased it in January 2022 and have since spent many weekends with their family enjoying the property while helping with the pain staking task of renovating the original single car garage and office into the beautiful space that we now call "The Birds Nest" guest house.

The Rose Garden:
You will notice a white aluminium table placed against the side of the home. This table is light and is easily moved by 2 adults. The best spot to place and set this table is the rose garden near the middle front entrance of the property. Catch the warm mid-morning sun in winter or a shady afternoon spot in summer. Surrounded by flowers the Rose Garden is a great spot for a tranquil lunch, morning or afternoon tea. It also comes highly recommended for Prawns and Champagne!

The Laundry:
Originally the working (and very large) laundry was converted into a second dining or entertaining space by the current owners. Bi-fold doors from the original main house were added, as well as an arbour to create a peaceful space that opens out to a shady alfresco feel, perfect for a fun afternoon happy hour and a game of Bingo with the kids.

The Stables:
One of the two working horse stables, brimming with old-world charm, has been ingeniously renovated to create a unique entertaining space for guests to relax and enjoy. It's a delightful den for adults to unwind with a glass of fine whisky or gin, all while keeping an eye on the kids, who will be enthralled by the endless gardens, trampoline, and a selection of outdoor games. It can also be a great spot for a cup of tea and a read of a book but for the more competitive, you can also enjoy a game of darts. The view up to the main house in the afternoon sun is quite spectacular and has to be seen to be appreciated.

Fire Pit:
As night falls, the property comes to life with a fire pit that's perfect for sharing stories, sipping hot chocolate, and toasting marshmallows under the starry night sky. It's a magical experience that takes you back to simpler times.

To elevate your stay to the pinnacle of comfort, you'll find state-of-the-art appliances including a coffee machine ensuring that your caffeine fix is always within reach. These modern conveniences are seamlessly integrated into the vintage-inspired ambiance of the property.

The Creek:
Located about 30 metres past the bottom of the property is a tranquil creek. A fun place for kids to explore and enjoy. Hours of fun but don’t dress them in their good clothes. There is always plenty of dirt and mud!

Bergans Lane Walk:
Starting at the bridge to the Creek is a beautiful 2.5km bush walk. Meandering through bush land, open grass and wetlands, this council managed walk retraces steps taken by school children who would walk from Bergans Rd To attend school at Witta Rd from the early 1900’s.
